So I spent several hours this morning in search for resources that I know as a single mother or dad it would be nice to have. If you live anywhaere close to these cities or you want to move in the near future and moving back into your parernts house is not very appealling (trust me I wouldnt want to move back in with mine either). Then consider these organizations before you make any concrete plans.

Sisters Of Magdalene, Inc.
Sisters Of Magdalene, Inc. has been established by two single mothers who have been blessed and brought together to build a community of support amongst each other. One mother’s dream has grown with God's guidance and a friendship to meet the needs and build a community of single moms in the cities of Las Vegas and Henderson. We have been so blessed and our goal each day is to share love practically. We want to reach out to as many single mothers as possible and enable single mothers to build strong stable family relationships through community support and education. As part of a community, we offer our services to all single mothers. Age, Race, Religion, or Past is not an issue. Our goal is to provide them with the help and support they need to be the best caregivers and providers possible for their families.

Our Group represents Submissive, Mericiful, Obiedient and Confident young adults and youth for a better tommorrow and future.
Single Mothers Outreach
Single Mothers Outreach (SMO) is a non-profit organization based in Santa Clarita, California that empowers single parents and their children by providing hope, support, and resources so that families can become self-sustaining. Most of our clients come to us in a state of emotional or financial crisis: they have lost their job; are about to be evicted; or are in shock from the unexpected death or divorce of their spouse. We aim to meet their short-term needs, but more importantly work to address the long-term issues that will create financial and familial stability and sustainability.
With the figures being so high, of 82.6% of all custodial parents being single, I figured we could all use a little help.
Stop This Roller-Coaster I Want an Education
Single mom have the burden of providing for their family. Most of these moms don't have the education needed to back them up. No, they are stuck with one, two, and yes, sometimes three minimum wage jobs.
They don't get to have the luxury of sending their kids off to school. Instead, they are the first ones to leave, hoping their child understands the need to get to school and then hoping those children get there safely.
Most women do not have the confidence in themselves to think they can handle the extra weight of getting a higher degree. They don't even know where to start. These single moms are in survival mode.
So to the mothers out there who are just surviving, read this
As for me, I have been going to school for the past six years trying to earn a bachelor's. It hasn't been easy with two boys and no job. Money was always tight as a child growing up with a single mom and six siblings and I have never known a different life when money wasn't tight. I lived on campus, in the family housing, I get work study grants so money I do earn doesnt effect state benefits. I buy books carefully and use computers that are provide on campus. I graduate this fall. I have not regreted my time in school. It wasnt ideal. It was hard work. But it was worth it. And if I compared it to other single moms lives who have chosen not to get an education I would say my life while in school was easier then working two jobs and just scraping by. See how you can get started on your education here
